Hola a todos....

Disculpen la tardanza en postear algo en el blog, pero las últimas semanas estuve de vacaciones fuera de la ciudad y por lo tanto estuve desconectado también de mis actividades habituales.

A continuación les dejo una imagen de mi último intercambio, realizado con mi amigo Abraham, que corresponden a la Insignia de las Guías y Scouts de Costa Rica, la Insignia del año 2008 y las especialidades de la Rama Tsuri.

Hello everyone ....

Sorry for the delay in posting something on the blog, but the last few weeks I was on vacation out of town and therefore I also disconnected my usual activities.

Then I leave a picture of my last exchange, made with my friend Abraham, which correspond to the Badge of Guides and Scouts of Costa Rica, Badge 2008 year, and the specialties of the Rama Tsuri.

Las insignias de Elena en sus propias palabras//Elena's Badges in her own words

"Por supuesto que voy a tratar de informarle sobre nuestras Insignias.

1. Esta Insignia designa pertenecientes al movimiento Scout. Esto significa que el niño o niña ya ha dado la promesa Scout. Algunos Scouts en lugar de esta banda llevan una flor de lis, hecho de un metal y otros como insignia.

2. Esta insignia designa que pertenecen a mi grupo de scouts «Lemmings». El joven animal salvaje, representado en un centro, es la imagen simbólica del lemming (un lemming es un animal, parece un ratón, que habita en la tundra. No tiene miedo al agua y pueden nadar a través de otro banco de depósito).

3. Sede de mi Organización Scout, que envuelve a los grupos de scouts de diferentes regiones de Rusia, se ubica la ciudad de Lower Novgorod (parte central de Rusia). No lejos de ella en el campamento del río Vetluga, Scouts llevan a cabo un campamento que se denomina "Vetluga" . Esta insignia recuerda a los Scouts el Campamento Vetluga-2007.

4. Esta Insignias es conseguido por todos los Scout, que participa en el juego Georgievskoy - (Un exámen Scouts muy difícil).

5. Esta Insignia la consiguen los Scouts, que aprueban el "test de Nieve" de la que te hablé(destrezas para sobrevivir en la nieve),

6. Y esta banda recuerda al 100 aniversario de los scouts en Rusia.

"Of course I shall try to tell you about our stripes.

1. This stripe designates belonging to Scouts' organization. It means that boy or girl has already given Scouts' promise. Some Scouts in place of this stripe carry the sign of lily, made of a metal, others - such stripe.

2. This stripe designates belonging to my Scouts' group «Lemmings». A young of wild animal, represented in a center, is a symbolic image of lemming (A lemming is an animal, look like a mouse, dwelling in tundra. It is not afraid of water and can swim across on other bank of reservoir).

3. Headquarters of my Scouts' organization, which engulfs Scouts' groups from the different regions of Russia, is in city Lower Novgorod (central part of Russia). Not far from it on the river Vetluga Scouts' camp that is named "Vetluga" is conducted every year. This stripe is devoted the Scouts' camp of Vetluga-2007.

4. Such stripe is got by every Scout, who participates in the Georgievskoy game - very difficult Scouts' test.

5. This stripe is got by those my Scouts, who hand over a «snow test», which I told you about. 6. And this stripe is dedicated to 100 anniversaries of Russian scouting.

I have got the stripe that I very value. It is named "Keeper of Fire". This stripe has right to carry the Scout, who delivers the Bethlehem fire in his city.

Elena From Russia/ Elena desde Rusia

Esta bella carta, las insignias y tarjetas fueron enviadas por mi amiga Elena Balakina (Елена Балакина en Cirílico) de Rusia, con quien mantengo una amistad via correo desde hace algunos meses.

Como pueden ver, las insignias corresponden a algunos eventos scout locales y en las tarjetas aparecen bellos motivos navideños.

This beautiful letter, badges and postcards were sent by my Russian friend Elena Balakina (Елена Балакина in Cyrilic), with whom I maintain a friendship via email several months ago.

As you can see the badges correspond to some local scout events and cards are beautiful Christmas themes

Dejo con ustedes una foto del último envío que recibí. Me lo envió mi amigo Wilfred Pak de Hong Kong, quien es miembro de los Scouts de China.

Pronto agregaré más información acerca de cada una de las insignias y solo me basta decir que son preciosas y realmente estoy muy contento con el intercambio pues Wilfred fue muy responsable y puntual en el proceso.

Como se puede leer en la cabecera, el proposito de este blog es mostrar mi colección de insignias scout (y otras cosas) y al mismo tiempo ir incrementándola a través de nuevos contactos con personas en el extranjero que quieran intercambiar conmigo.

Saludos a todos y para comenzar, dejo una foto de la insignia de participante del XIX Jamboree Mundial de Chile, el evento más grande en que me ha tocado participar en toda mi vida como scout.

Greetings to all and to start you can see a picture of the badge of participant of the XIX World Jamboree in Chile, the biggest event that I participated in my entire life as a scout.
